Getting the Real Estate Training Message Across to the Masses
Training
Every Realtor comes to an office with their own training needs. I have seen everything from a senior citizen who is breezing through wireless technology and blogs to a 20something that is actually picking up their mouse and pointing it at the screen. When training to a group of any size, the curriculum has to be designed to appeal to agents of all ages as well as skill level and industry experience.
At Real Living Real Estate Solutions, we work to design training sessions that fit the needs of the agent. Due to schedules and lifestyles, we end of doing a great deal of one on one training. This is great for the agent but not always an effective way of sharing ideas between agents.
The one thing that Trainers in general have to be careful about is to not spend too much class time focusing on an agent who doesn't get it right away. I have seen this happen and the others who do get it, lose their attention and it is sometimes hard to get it back. It is much better to spend additional time with that person after class.
The one mistake that experienced agents make is that they sometimes think that they don't need training. Real Estate is an ever changing, ever evolving industry with new laws, new technology and I have had experienced agents come to class and say that they didn't think they would learn anything new but that they did!
Training is an excellent way to gain valuable tools that will aide you in your career at whatever level you are.
