You have always loved looking at houses. Architectural school has too much math. You think Real Estate is for you and everyone in your life thinks you are crazy. Haven't you watched Good Morning America, they say. The housing market is in a slump! The sub prime mortgage crisis is upon us.
This is a great time to get into Real Estate. Real Estate prices have adjusted to levels that are allowing people to get into homes that never could have before. Agents that were never serious about the business to begin with are dropping out, leaving the professionals to do the work. Realtors have a great deal of pride and hard work ethic. They are all Independent Contractors and don't get paid until they sell something. This motivates us to get the job done and not be in it for the quick buck.
It takes discipline, determination and drive to make a good living in Real Estate. You are given flexibility unlike any 9-5 job you have had in the past but sometimes, nights and weekends are spent writing contracts, showing property and being available for your customers.
