Geekie Stuff
Okay, those of you who know me know that I married a geek - a regular tech junkie. The more gizmos, gadgets, and analytical data he has, the happier he is. Ask him about a website - he's been there. If it's new software and it has a free trial - he's signed up. Ever read his blog? You'll see what I mean.
So you need to keep up to have a conversation with him - it's always interesting.
Today I needed photos that were on his computer - he was at the office. I was in our office at home. So I get this email telling me to click on this link and paste to my browser. I did and and voila - my photos started downloading! The website is http://senduit.com. How cute "Send U It". Wow where does he find this stuff?
I also liked www.jott.com. Picture this, we're driving and Cal picks up his phone and dials a pre-programmed number and then says "myself" and starts speaking. Then he hangs up and keeps driving. Apparently the program works on voice recognition technology which then converts your voice message to text and emails the recipient what you said. Very cool and definitely safer than texting or keying into your smart phone while you're driving. I am such a terrible backseat driver, he probably went in search of this program just to quiet me down. Now if I could just stop him from reading his emails while driving...
I'm sure tomorrow I'll get some other little gizmo or gadget from him that will ultimately make our job easier or life safer and I'll post it so you too can reap the benefits of knowing your own tech junkie.
